Program Review
Pre-owned vehicles under the Heritage Pre-Owned Advantage+ program must meet a strict set of criteria. When a customer trades in their current vehicle, we put it under a 101-point inspection and perform a full history check. Once we buy the car from the customer, we price it accordingly and take into account all associated fees, such as certification, reconditioning, and freight/destination fees.
What’s Included
A purchase of a pre-owned car at Heritage Toyota Catonsville includes a warranty good for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever one comes first. A comprehensive coverage is also included for the first 60 days. In addition, buyers will also – upon request – receive a copy of the vehicle inspection report. Our inspections exceed both local and state inspection requirements.
With the purchase, you’ll receive a CARFAX report containing a detailed history about the car’s previous registration, ownership changes, and maintenance service history.
Dealership vs Private Seller
While you may save more by buying a used car from a private seller, the purchase doesn’t come with the benefits included in the Heritage Pre-Owned Advantage+. There’s no warranty, no pre-purchase inspection, and no official history report. The odds of it being a clunker is quite high. In addition, it’s possible the seller may hide damages or roll back the odometer.
