For the TRD Off-Road trim, this is upgraded to a Direct Shift Eight-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with Intelligence (ECT-i) and sequential shift mode. ECT-I enables full control of engine torque and clutch hydraulic pressure when shifting gears. This leads to smoother and more seamless shifts, resulting in an impressive output of 219 horsepower.
The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid also utilizes an electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive that comes standard. This enables optimal power distribution between the wheels as needed for maximum traction.
Woodland Edition
As one can expect, the Woodland edition is made for greater off-road prowess. This is evident in its 18-inch TRD bronze alloy wheels clad in Falken Wildpeak all-terrain rubber.
