The 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid has long been a favored model among first-time car owners. The model is also popular among parents purchasing a car as a gift for their teens. As such, safety is going to be a major consideration. Our dealers at Heritage Toyota Catonsville can explain the safety features in detail.

Safety Technology

Safety technology lies at the forefront of vehicle safety. The Toyota Corolla Hybrid is equipped with the latest iteration of the Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0. With it comes a number of safety technology that’s standard, as well as available features.

Three trims available for the Toyota Corolla Hybrid: LE, XSE, and Nightshade. All three trims have these safety technologies as standard:

  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Road Sign Assist

With the Nightshade trim, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert also come standard, whereas this feature is available in the LE and XSE trims.

Non-Technology Safety Features

Safety goes beyond the technology. The model also keeps the driver and passengers safe with its ultra-durable frame and interior features. This includes front and rear frames constructed with energy-absorbing crumple zones and side impact door beams.

That’s not all; the interior is also reinforced with 10 airbags strategically located throughout the cabin. The energy-absorbing steering column is another added feature that protects the driver, as are the driver and front passenger seats designed to lessen the impact of whiplash.
