The 2023 Toyota bZ4X is still in development, though several details have already been released and confirmed. We’ll go over the information we know so far about this electric vehicle regarding performance, design, and more.

What We Know

The Toyota bZ4X will be making its debut as a 2023 model, though no official timeframe has been confirmed. What we know about the model is that it’ll be an all-electric vehicle and have a motor paired to a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. There’s also an option for an upgrade to dual motors mated to an all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

If you aim for the standard single motor, the output is 201 hp. The dual motor upgrade produces 215 hp. The vehicle utilizes regenerative braking that the driver can adjust with the push of a button on the center console.

Range and Charging

The Toyota bZ4X uses a 63.4-kWh battery and can travel between 242 and 252 miles on a full charge. Using the model’s onboard 6.6-kW onboard charger, you can achieve a full charge in nine hours. With a DC fast charger, you can acquire an 80% charge in about one hour. In addition, buyers are eligible for one year of free charging at select public charging stations.

Cabin

The cabin includes an impressive 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Navigation is also included as standard for three years. A wireless charging slot is available in the center console. If you opt for the Toyota bZ4X Limited trim, there’s an optional radiant heater in the bottom half of the dashboard that keeps the driver’s and front passenger’s legs warm.
