Performance
The Toyota GR86 is now in its second generation after skipping the 2021 model year. However, it will still retain the same 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine from the previous generation. With this engine comes 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, though a traditional six-speed manual transmission is also available. The coupe can zip from zero to 60 mph in 6.6-seconds with the automatic transmission and in 6.1-seconds with the manual transmission.
If you opt for the premium trim, performance is further enhanced with 18-inch matte black alloy wheels with Michelin® Pilot® Sport 4 tires. A duckbill rear spoiler is also included for better aerodynamics.
Infotainment and Technology
An 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen comes standard. This is an upgrade over the 7.0-inch screen in the previous model. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration also come standard, as is SiriusXM satellite radio. The dashboard is fitted with a reconfigurable 7.0-inch digital gauge display with switchable Normal, Sport, and Track modes. A 200-watt 10-inch subwoofer is available as a premium add-on.
Safety
Several safety features come standard if you elect for the automatic transmission. This includes:

- High-beam assist
- Lead vehicle start alert
- Lane departure warning
- Pre-collision throttle management
