Engine and Performance
Under the hood is a 169-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission that comes standard, as is front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive as an option. There are also plans for a hybrid Toyota Corolla Cross, slated for a 2023 release.
Control is made more manageable thanks to the implementation of the brand’s Dynamic Torque Control. This distributes about 50% of the power to the rear tires to make handling more proficient.
Infotainment System
A seven-inch Multi-Info Display touchscreen comes standard, though an eight-inch screen is available as an upgrade. SiriusXM® satellite radio, as are Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are included in all trim levels. Extras like a JBL® stereo audio system, rear USB charging ports, and a Qi wireless charger are available add-ons.
