Spring is an excellent time to get away from civilization and travel to an off-road destination. Is your vehicle built for travel on rugged and jagged terrain? The Toyota TRD Pro series vehicles are built for just that. The Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and others with the TRD designation are developed with the off-road enthusiasts in mind.

Highlights of the Toyota TRD Pro Series

What distinguishes the TRD Pro trim from its non-TRD Pro counterparts? Toyota TRD Pro vehicles are simply tougher. They are outfitted with more durable skid plates, tires, shocks, and other components needed to tackle the off-roads while resisting damage from sharp rocks, mud, and water. Currently, the models that have a TRD Pro variant include the Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Toyota 4Runner, and Toyota Sequoia.

Other TRD Pro Series Additions

It’s not just the tougher exterior components for off-roading. The series also comes with a few technology enhancements. For the 2020 model years, all TRD Pro series come with Amazon Alexa and an upgraded eight-inch touchscreen display. Other additions are specific to the model. The Toyota Tundra TRD Pro comes with the JBL Premium Audio System, while the Toyota Tacoma TR Pro has a 10-way power driver’s seat and a multi-terrain monitor. With the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, new additions include the Toyota Safety Sense P package and two extra USB ports in the rear passenger section.
